Description

Stock #7021 At Japanese Classics, we are always scouting for clean coupes, so when this 20k original mile 1996 Skyline came across our radar, we had to have it! Exterior Overview Finding a clean, unmolested Nissan Skyline has its challenges. At Japanese Classics, we are always scouting for clean coupes, so when this 20k original-mile 1996 GTS25-t came across our radar, we had to have it! Finished in Sonic Silver (KR4) the cosmetics are factory fresh, and set off by an optional Type M lip kit. Spanning the front bumper, side skirts, and rear spats, the OEM ground effects package makes for an aggressive aesthetic, and save for a few minor chips and dings the cosmetics are in good shape overall. Set off by some sleek period-correct 17″ Volk CV alloys and an OEM spoiler, this turbocharged model is easy on the eyes, and with this mileage, it would make for a terrific show queen or collector’s item that can still be driven to your heart’s content! Stylish, sporty, and up to date on service, this is a textbook example of a certified Japanese Classic! Interior Overview The interior is in good shape throughout, from the durable patterned cloth upholstery, to the soft touch materials that span the dash and peripherals. A full slate of power equipment is on hand to aid daily driving, and this Skyline benefits from functioning heat, A/C, and factory optional Alpine audio. For those who prefer a more analog driving experience, an optional power moonroof and both power windows work in tandem to let in some natural ventilation and auditory stimulation from the FGK catback exhaust. The power locks, factory keyless entry, and power mirrors work like a charm, improving daily use. The dash shows well with no discernible defects, and the remaining materials are in good shape, from the rear bench to the headliner above. The carpets beneath are in above-average shape for the year, and this example even includes dual SRS airbags. The trunk is spacious and houses your battery, promoting better weight distribution. Save for some light wear to the driver’s bolster, this example should suit its next owner quite well, and we have little to scrutinize apart from the mirrors no longer electronically folding, and the sunroof requiring a bit of manual effort to open completely. Even a full slate of owners manuals, maintenance booklets, and spare keys are included with the purchase! Mechanical Overview A fan favorite powerplant that’s easy to upgrade, fun to drive, and simple to turn a wrench on, the RB25DET does it all. Ours is also fresh off a recent service by our trained technicians, and is turn-key, ready to drive daily. A new 12v battery aids a quick startup when the key is turned. We replaced the tired old timing belt and water pump to get you on track for the next 10 years or 100,000 km, and we also installed a new thermostat and flushed out the old coolant with new juice while we were in there. An HKS intake and FGK exhaust push a few more ponies out of the 2.5T and satisfy your auditory requirements as well. With a factory automatic gearbox, you’ll be victorious during stoplight drag races as you won’t lose boost in between shifts. Sending power straight to the rear wheels, the chassis feels balanced and predictable in the twisties, too. The factory suspension keeps the chassis planted to the pavement, and this R33 aced state inspection with flying colors. The ABS brakes grab with authority, and we wrapped the Volk alloys in brand-new rubber. Comfortable, stylish, and chock full of tread, you’ll be ready to parade this Skyline about town and feel safe behind the wheel of your newest investment! *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
